The Quahog is a rich part of Rhode Island’s history, economy and is a dominant part of the RI food scene! In honor of this, The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management has partnered with the Rhode Island Seafood Marketing Collaborative and local restaurants to bring Rhode Islanders the First Annual Rhode Island Quahog “Restaurant” Week from March 21-27!
What does this mean for those that have an affection for this bi-valve? It means that there will be ample opportunities to consume these mighty mollusks all over the state in a variety of ways. Check out this offering from DiMare Seafood Market & Bistro:

DiMare Seafood Market & Bistro is a proud supporter of RI Seafood. They offer fresh seafood for purchase in their market as well as a new menu brimming with bounties from the sea! The lunch under $10 menu is definitely worth the trip. With a brand new menu, a new executive chef and mouth watering menus; there is no shortage of reasons to get to DiMare Seafood! They are, “boat to market and market to plate since 2008!”
Other Quahog Week participants include:
