May the “Mertz” Be With You…A One Time Reunion Show!

The year was “1978” when the “Fabulous Mertz Brothers” entered the RI music scene. Things were a bit different in those days, playing  top 40 included the likes of the Knack, Rod Stewart and the Doobie Brothers, Classic rock was just hours old and the oldies pretty much are as we know them today. The” Fabulous Mertz Brothers” featuring Joe Flori (drums/ vocals), Ed Fenner (guitar/ vocals) and Stan Turbo (bass/ vocals) were making eyes turn (in the right direction).  The combination of Joe, Ed and Stan were a three piece power ensemble featuring outstanding lead vocals, harmonies and instrumental talents. They were a staple at such popular venues of the day including The Edge, Gulliver’s, January’s, Lupo’s to name a few . And, now it is your chance to go back to once was considered the future!  Next Friday, June 24^th the Fabulous Mertz Brothers will reunite for one show only at the Narragansett Café.  If you are a Beatles’ fan and like the Rolling Stones, CCR, The Doors, Elvis and tons of one hit wonders from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s this is a must see ! And can you think of a better summer venue than the equally legendary Narragansett Cafe in beautiful Jamestown, RI. Talk about a summer win / win!!
