Six local residents will be recognized at the South County Museum Volunteer Appreciation Reception at 7 pm September 29 in the Metz Exhibit Hall at South County Museum in Narragansett.
Myrna George will receive the Outstanding Community Leadership Award for her tireless efforts as Executive Director of the South County Tourism Council. The volunteer Stewardship Award recipients are Richard and Lori Fuka and Gerry Carvalho for their support of the museum’s annual Taste of Summer fundraiser. Lee Stewart is the recipient of the Doris Manganaro Volunteer award, and David Precott is being recognized for developing the electronic outreach program at the museum.
Admission to the reception is free. Light refreshments will be available following the awards ceremony. Members of the community are encouraged to attend.
