Newport has a deep rooted history that can only be felt by experiencing the area for yourself.  A tour through one of the mansions will sweep you back in time and also have you thinking twice about that cool breeze that just shifted through.  That slight chill that feels almost ghostly, reminding you that there were many here before you and that their spirits are still lurking.  Something about the historic areas of Newport can still strike that nerve from childhood when you thought that there was indeed a monster under your bed.  Yet this feeling alludes to something more magical and less fantasy…the passionate history of an affluent city.  The Ghost of Newport Gallery Show, presented by photographer Neil Salisbury, will have you reveling in the past and admiring the beauty of the ghosts captured in his incredible work.  These ghosts however, will be there to meet you as well…in the living form of course.  Neil Salisbury has taken beauty to an eerie new level.  These stunning women have been photographed to appear in a ghostly yet gorgeous form.  Thursday, January 23rd, from 5-8 pm you will have the opportunity to view this incredible work for yourself while also meeting the lovely apparitions.  If you are unable to attend this cocktail  reception then you will be able to see his work until January 26th.  The beautiful Redwood Library could not be a more fitting location for The Ghosts of Newport Gallery Show.
