Park Loop Porter..Warm, Dark, Delicious

Parked loop porter
Welcome back RI Blogger readers! I can’t wait to tell you about my latest venture into the wonderful world of tasty local brews! This week’s feature is Park Loop Porter from the Bucket Brewery in Pawtucket. I came across this hearty porter last week just before the snow fell. The funky chunky brown bottle grabbed my eye right away. It reminded me of something Igor might have stored for his master! Hand scrawled on it’s front is it’s name and alcohol content of 7.8 percent along with a simple silver bucket display.
I paired this lovely rich brew with a homemade beef stew and warm biscuits. Wow! What a way to spend a snowy night indoors! The pour of this porter formed a thin molasses stained froth on the surface. Upon first sip I could breathe and taste the essence of coffee. This is a “must try” folks! Subtle flavors of caramel and nuttiness developed as the porter warmed down and I enjoyed my stew.
Park Loop Porter comes in a cool 32 ounce bottle so make sure you invite a friend, make a warm stew and pray for snow! Thanks for reading and look for me next week for yet another local libation taste!
