5 Things to do in RI this Weekend! October 16th-18th

  1. 25th Annual Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival–   This seafood extravaganza takes place on Saturday and Sunday in Newport!  This event draws thousands of festival goers from near and far.  Enjoy the freshest seafood around as you sip on the areas finest liquid libations.  Music will fill the air as you stroll around the iconic Bowen’s Wharf. This is a family friendly event, literally something for everyone!

 

2.  International Oktoberfest–  This beloved event has moved locations and will now be held on the glorious waterfront of Providence at India Point Park.  You must be of legal drinking age to attend this merry celebration.  Lively music and German fare will be accompanied by an abundance of local and international brews.  The event takes place on Saturday from 12- 8 and Sunday from 12-6.

3. Zombie Paint Ball–  Sounds gory…but this is the season for spooky fun!  Board a 5 ton Military truck and head off into the danger zone to fight off the zombies!  You will really feel the Halloween spirit after this thrilling adventure. This event takes place at Filed of Screams at 179 Plain Meeting House Rd. in West Greenwich.

4.  Get a Furbaby! There are so many pets in Rhode Island that are in need of a home.  This weekend, Benny and Jack and Save One Soul will be hosting a pet adoption event at 237 Robinson Street from 12-3 pm.  Make this weekend the one where you “save one soul”.

5.  Free Family Free Day at the Hereshoff Museum:  The Hereshoff Museum is opening its doors to families on October 17th from 10 am-5 pm.  This is a great chance to see the wonders of this incredible museum.  There will be raffles, outdoor games, hot cider & snacks, tours, and so much more!  You can visit the nearly completed Reliance project while you are there.  The admission price…zip, zero, zilch!  This is a great way to enjoy a fall family day.
