Picture this, a gentle breeze, the sun is shining, the birds chirping, and you’re on your way to an epic workout. This is your gym. South County Boot Camp and Coaching for Women harnesses the benefits of the great outdoors from early until late fall. It is said that over a certain age, we stop challenging our bodies and they age quicker than needed. We take out workouts outdoors for an added challenge and increased benefits. You can read about the benefits of outdoor workouts here, but for now, we want to take you on a journey into a day in the life of outdoor boot camp!
Our classes are offered in the mornings in one hour slots from 5:30 to the last one being at 9:30. There’s nothing like breaking a morning sweat with the rising sun. Take a look at this sunrise:
Whichever hour you attend the structure is primarily the same. We begin our workouts with a dynamic warmup, brief, effective, and gets your body going. From the moment you step into camp each day, we ask you to listen to your body and gauge your workout accordingly. Our aim is to teach you to listen to your body and learn to adapt as needed. One of the many things you can expect from South County Boot Camp and Coaching for Women is variety and a total body workout. We have never repeated a workout (minus a fitness challenge) and we never plan to. The thinking is done for you. We only ask that you show up with your best attitude, a may, weights, and water. It’s as simple as that, the rest is done for you.
After your dynamic warmup, the fun begins. Our workouts will find you all over the area learning to make the environment around you part of your routine. Here’s a few examples:
- Fence sits
- Tricep dips on the fence
- Running the baseball fields
- Running the nature trail
- Wall push ups
- Bumper taps
- Step ups on the cement
- Running the steps
- Hill sprints
- Dug out sit and stands
