The Duck and Bunny in Providence

The Duck and Bunny on Wickenden Street is one of the finest purveyors of comfort in Providence. From food to treats, coffee to liquor, the Duck and Bunny is, at the very least, worth a visit.

For starters, there’s the Duck and Bunny’s brunch menu. From 10:00 AM all the way to 4:00 PM, you’ll find expertly prepared, unique, and, most importantly of all, delicious brunch options. Have their Portuguese sweet bread French toast. The bread is made locally, and can be served with either bananas foster or maple berry compote. The Duck and Bunny serves several different types of crepes during brunch, including their delicious spinach, goat cheese and sundried tomato crepe, or the extremely satisfying Dougie Boy, which filled with smoked salmon, capers, green onion and dill.

During the day you can stop by and have some of their “Eclectic fare” options, suchas their bacon wrapped dates, or a delicious turkey, ham and cheese Monte Christo, served on two slices of Portuguese sweet bread French toast and served with maple syrup. These dishes are rich, borderline decadent, and will leave you feeling very satisfied.

The Duck and Bunny also has a fully stocked bar. Have a glass—or a bottle—of wine, including a great selection of dessert wines. Or have one of their excellent microbrewed beers. Or get one of their signature cocktails like the Chamisa, a mixture of Prosecco, basil, raw sugar, and pears. Or try the Lava Lamp, a layered drink with hard cider, Guinness, and  Framboise, a raspberry liqueur.

And, if that isn’t enough, the Duck and Bunny also has a cigar bar. They have a limited but fantastic selection, including their Churchills, hand-rolled in the Dominican Republic.
