This one of a kind performance blends circus art and the world of ice skating. The Waterfront Concert Series returns to King Park this year for live performances under the gazebo. Pack a blanket or a picnic chair to enjoy a variety of genres including blues, folk, Irish folk and more. The legendary “East Coast Rock’n’roll” group John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band returns to the Ocean Mist on Saturday, July 9th @ 8:30pm. The Rhode Island based band began their career in 1972 and achieved mainstream success in the 1980s with the “Eddie & The Cruisers – Motion Picture Soundtrack”.  The hit single “On the Dark Side” held the “Number-One” position on the Billboard Rock charts and the MTV video charts for “five” consecutive weeks.  The album sold over 3 million copies and was certified triple Platinum by the RIAA.

The title track from the group’s 1985 follow-up album “Tough All Over” became their second “Number-One” single on the Billboard Rock charts and the song “C-I-T-Y” reached the Billboard Top 20.  John Cafferty’s solo track “Hearts on Fire” was featured in the Sylvester Stallone film “Rocky IV” and he received his second double Platinum soundtrack award.  Over the years John has placed 35 songs in major motion pictures.

Rus Anderson performs as a young Elton John in THE ROCKET MAN SHOW honoring Elton John with killer vocals, fierce piano playing, and classic Elton antics. Rus Anderson was handpicked by Elton John to be his official body double for the videos and photos in Elton’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road world tour; Rus re-created iconic moments from Elton’s career in virtual reality for the tour. The Summer of Love Concert was created by Glen Burtnik, alumnus of Styx, the original Beatlemania on Broadway (he played Paul), touring bassist/vocalist with the current version of ELO, The Orchestra, member of The Weeklings, major label (A&M) solo recording artist and hit songwriter. “I’ve always had a playlist on my IPod named The Summer of Love. I’m actually a hippie at heart. The music of that era is probably what moves me the most,” said Burtnik in a recent interview.
