Holiday Fun @ Ocean Mist w/ Great Food, Music & Events!

When thinking of the Ocean Mist in Matunuck, RI, we think of summer fun, music, food and tasty cocktails with an amazing ocean front view! No doubt, the Mist is the premier beach bar in the Ocean State and beyond, but the fun does not stop as the weather cools down. In fact, things tend to heat up with great live entertainment and events!

Here’s just a few of the shows and events The Mist has in store for us during the holiday season!

On Thursday, December 7^th, the 5th annual Village of Matunuck Holiday Stroll returns! Matunuck will be decked out in holiday cheer making it a night to remember – don’t miss it! Come down and get your holiday shopping done all while supporting local artisans.

The Ocean Mist, The Pub, Point Break Cottages, Matunuck Surf Shop, Matunuck Pizza, and Surfside Coffee will all have artists/artisans set up at each location! Seasonal cocktails and bites will be available so fuel up and stay warm while you make your way around the village. Raffle prizes include a 2 Night Stay at Admiral Dewey Inn! The Village of Matunuck Holiday Stroll event takes place from 5pm – 9pm.

Saturday afternoons with the Ocean Mistics & Friends moves to Thursdays from 6pm – 9pm during the winter months. Thursdays at The Mist makes for a great way to jump start your weekend with some early evening music from “A” list local musicians.

Featured guest performers joining the Ocean Mistics on Thursdays in December include Sugar Ray Norcia, Will Cooley and Greg Picollo.

Weekend shows will bring the debut of North Country Band, The Naticks, Larry Brown Swinglane Orchestra (holiday show) and the Guessmas Holiday Show with a canned food drive to benefit the RI Community Food Bank. The event features Guess Method with Dudemanbro and the Water Project. Sunday Fundays at The Mist include Take It To The Bridge and Farm Dog.

Plenty of entertainment and good eats can also be found next door at The Pub in Matunuck! Entertainers include Gary Gramolini, Jake Hunsinger, Kaitlyn Tarro Duo, Pete Kells, Hip Bobsha, Izzy, Two Rads, Dan Watson, Michael Bussey, Dave Lefkin and Jeremy Swan. And of course, Pub-E-Oke on Sundays at 8pm.

Ring in the New Year at the Ocean Mist on Sunday, December 31st! This year’s New Year’s Eve Party features Sublime tribute; Badfish with special guest Crooked Coast. The party starts at 9:00pm.

WE HAVE 3 PRIZES THIS YEAR, a 2-night stay at Admiral Dewey Inn, a stay at Point Break Cottages, or a basket full of Matunuck goodies! How do you enter the raffle, you ask? By going to each business and getting your ticket stamped! Once you have received all your stamps, turn in your raffle ticket to any of the businesses!
Tree Lighting will be at 7pm in the Matunuck Surf Shop parking lot!
Parking is available on the street, Mary Carpenters Parking Lot ($5) and S.K. Town Beach. There will be a trolley running from SK Town Beach Lot to Deep Hole from 5pm-9pm to help shoppers get to and from the Matunuck Holiday Stroll.
