How to Stay Focused on Your Fitness Goals as Schedules Change

Summer is winding down, and the fall air is creeping in. With the change in seasons comes a change in schedules. Many of us have kids returning to school, changes in job hours, and juggling the loss of daylight. Changes like these can wreak havoc on fitness goals; you must be adequately prepared! South County Boot Camp and Coaching for Women will help you crush your fitness goals all year. As business professionals and busy parents, we understand the ever-changing schedule challenge. Our program fits your schedule, holds you accountable, and motivates you to reach your full potential. Here are three tried and true ways you can stay focused on your fitness goals:

Commit to Yourself:  Allow yourself an hour a day minimum to focus on your fitness journey. Our program offers several morning time slots from 5:30-9:30, allowing you to get your workout done so that you can start your day off right! Committing to yourself ensures that a change in routine will not stop you from reaching your goals. Be open with those around you about your journey so your support system can help when needed. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from us or those around you; your support system matters, and we are integral to this. Be proud of your decision to make this lifestyle change. When we commit to ourselves, we become our best version.

Be Gentle and Be Focused:  These may sound like opposites, but they can work harmoniously. As schedules change and hiccups arise, accept them and move forward. Do not allow an obstacle to cause you to lose focus on the bigger picture; be gentle with yourself. We strive to follow a linear path, but this is often untrue. As your coaches, we understand that changes occur. Our goal is to help you adapt to these changes and continue to make yourself a priority. We are available beyond your class hours to hold you accountable for your goals in and out of boot camp. Allow yourself to adjust, adapt, and get back on track.

Plan, Plan, and Plan Some More: With goal setting comes planning and a level of predicting. While we cannot see all the changes, we know the typical yearly changes. If your schedule changes with the fall, plan how to navigate these waters, keeping your fitness journey front and center. Writing down your daily, weekly, and monthly plans will keep you focused and show you what your short-term and long-term goals look like. In addition, make backup plans! What happens if you know you will miss a day, a week, or even more? How will you make time for yourself? We offer a massive database and a flexible schedule. If you cannot attend one of our time slots, you will have access to our videos that you can do at home!
