Founder of KSA Marketing + Partnerships, Katie Schibler Conn, has been accepted into the Forbes Agency Council, an invitation-only community for executives in successful public relations, media strategy, creative and advertising agencies. As a member of the prestigious Forbes Agency Council, Schibler Conn will have the opportunity to offer marketing insight and publish content on Forbes.com.
Schibler Conn began her marketing career moving from Rhode Island to New York to San Francisco, where she worked at companies like TracyLocke, DDB and PlayStation. During her time at PlayStation she decided to cut ties with the corporate world and escape abroad, trading her blackberry for a backpack.
In 2010, Schibler Conn embarked on a 15-month journey through Southeast Asia and South America, picking up various jobs along the way, gaining knowledge and first hand cultural experiences through her travels. What stuck with her were the images and locations you couldn’t explore on the web. Schibler Conn loved her time as a yak farmer in Mongolia, authentic moments shared with strangers over food, exploring the Favelas of Rio where tourists and media never go and experiences riding third-class with locals.
After her time overseas, Schibler Conn came back to Rhode Island to start fresh in 2011. She combined her skills in business and marketing and life lessons from the road with her years spent working with Fortune 500 companies to create what has become KSA. Through her journey, she learned that paths are not clearly defined and authenticity is the key to success.
“I learned early on that the stories I share most often from my trip are what happened when something went wrong. Stories from my career in marketing have a similar theme,” Schibler Conn said. “I’m looking forward to writing content for Forbes that shares marketing insight through the lens of my misadventures abroad.”
KSA is a full-service marketing communications firm driven by passion, rooted in partnership with expertise in sponsorship. The team is a growing staff of seven full-time heroes and a mix of part-time interns and subcontractors, who each possess different skills, ready to conquer any task clients throw their way.

As a hand-selected member of Forbes Agency Council joined by a small curated collection of her peers, Schibler Conn wants to use her world travels to blog about her experiences on Forbes.com and link those unique experiences to marketing lessons Team KSA teaches every day.
