LIFEcycle’s 8th Annual Charity Bike-a-Thon Supporting Local Cancer Research

When:  July 17, 2016

 What:    Ride ‘Round Rhody 2016 Powered by Mojo Tech

25 mile or 75 mile bike-a-thon to benefit local cancer treatment and research

Who:      Over 200 Riders, volunteers and donors

When:    Sunday, July 17th:

• 7:15 AM – Opening ceremonies and full group photo at the starting line
• 7:30 AM – Ride Begins
• 9:15 AM – 10:15 – Cyclists finish the 25-mile course
• 11:45 – 2:15 – Cyclists finish the 75-mile course
• 2:30 – 3:00 – Event concludes

Where:   Start/Finish Line at The Farmer’s Daughter, 716 Moorsefield Rd, Kingston, RI (on Rte 138, between    Rte 1 and URI)

• Riders will complete a 75 mile or 25 mile course through South County, RI
• Funds raised are expected to exceed $85,000.00 towards a goal of $100,000.00 – fundraising continues until August 31, 2016
• 3 Top Teams -Team Monica, Women & Infants and Mojo Tech raised over $30,000.00
• Announcement of 2017 event date
• LIFEcycle distributes grant awards to Rhode Island and surrounding area cancer centers with the funds raised by participants and the generosity of the people who support them
• Approximately 150 Riders makes this the largest event to date

                LIFEcycle, Inc. was formed in 2008 based on a passion to raise funds that stay local.  To date, Ride ‘Round Rhody has raised over $350,000 to support their efforts.  The funds target local clinical trials while supporting integrated and complimentary medicine and providing financial assistance for patients in need.  LIFEcycle allows biking enthusiasts to participate in the healthy living event while empowering them to direct their resources locally.  LIFEcycle, Inc. is a 501c3 Rhode Island based non-profit organization.  http://www.lifecycleinc.org
