If you’re looking to shop local, Main Street in Wakefield has a couple of great options, especially if you’re looking for something unique. There’s Phoenix Finds, a small antiques and consignment shop right off of Main Street. While many consignment shops are all clothes, the Phoenix has a wide variety of things. If you’re interested in artifacts of bygone decades, this is the place to go.

Spangles Inc. has an incredible variety of accessories at prices that won’t break your wallet. From jewelry to handbags and everything in between, Spangles Inc. has it all.

Velvet Revolution the newest of the three consignment shops on Main Street. They specialize in high quality, brand name women’s clothing at a not so costly price.

There’s also the Purple Cow. The purple building with purple lights is hard to miss, and what you’ll find inside is equally eye-catching. You’ll find a wide selection of gifts, crafts, jewelry, funky home decor, clothing and items made by local artisans at the Purple Cow.

You also have a couple of great food options on Main Street. Winter is coming, so you should definitely stop by Brickley’s Ice Cream while you can. Their ice cream is made on site, and that really comes through in the taste.  They close the last full weekend in October so time is a tickin’!

If you’re just looking for a good, simple breakfast, you can’t beat Phil’s. Places like Phil’s are the reason that diners are so popular in the first place. Reasonably priced and delicious, a plate of food at Phil’s is a great way to start your morning, or afternoon, depending on when you wake up.  In addition, they serve up a quite a dinner.  When the weather is right, you can enjoy views of Main Street from the roof top bar.

Finally, there’s El Fuego Mexican Grill. Big portions, quality food, and a few great spins on old classics—like the Luau Quesadilla—will have you leaving El Fuego satisfied.
