Newport Fall Restaurant Week 2014
Newport Fall Restaurant Week 2014 will let you explore all the Newport cuisine has to offer without breaking the bank. From November 7th through November 16th, lunches are only $16, and dinner is only $35 at any of the nearly fifty participating

Cafe Zelda
restaurants. Here are just a few of the restaurants that will be participating, and what they’re offering. And remember, tips and drinks aren’t included in the price.
Café Zelda is a restaurant and bar on Thames Street. For their dinner menu, your three course meal will start off with one of five appetizers, ranging from clam chowder to an arugula salad with watercress and an apricot vinaigrette. For your second course, pick one of eleven different entrees, including Grilled Hanger Steak, Pan Roasted Salmon Filet, and Roast Pickle-brined Chicken Breast. For your third course, choose either sorbet, ice cream, or a Creole Bread Pudding topped with a warm bourbon sauce.
The Brick Alley Pub is another great Newport institution. For Restaurant Week, they’ll be serving up your choice of New England clam chowder or lobster bisque for your first course, a variety of salad options for your second course, and one of four entrees for your third course: Rack of Lamb, Steak Frite, a 20 Ounce Ribeye Steak, or a Creamy Lobster and Scallop Pasta, made with native lobster and scallops.
If you’re looking to head to Bristol, check out Christian’s. While they do have a decent seafood selection—it is Rhode Island, after all—you’ll find plenty other options at Christians. For the first course of your meal, choose from one of four options, such as their Mushroom Pizza topped with charred leak and a truffle vinaigrette, or their Wood Fired Calamari stuffed with spiced pork and cous cous. For your second course, try the Beef Short Rib, Wood Fired Chicken, or Wood Fired Scallops. And for your third course, choose from either a Kahlua Crème Brulee, or Wood Fired Apple Bread Pudding with cranberry compote.
