Newport Vineyards Celebrates Memorial Day Weekend with Spring Release Party & Annual Spring Celebration

By now most New Englanders are counting down the days until Memorial Day, and Middletown’s award-winning Newport Vineyards celebrates Memorial Day weekend with two events: its Spring Release Party on Friday, May 26th and its 15th Annual Spring Celebration on Sunday, May 28th.

The Spring Release Party will feature newly-released white wines and Dry Rose from Newport Vineyards being served out among the vineyards’ outdoor fire pits. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. for members of the vineyards’ Case Club or Cru Club and opens to the general public at 6:00 p.m. Both members and non-members can RSVP for the event at http://www.newportvineyards.com/calendar-of-events.

The Spring Release Party event will feature live music by Erin McAndrew, a singer-songwriter from New York City. McAndrew previously performed at Newport Vineyards in April and later profiled Newport Vineyards on her YouTube wine show, Rockin’ Thru the Grapevines. In the episode, the wine enthusiast called Newport Vineyards “One of the biggest, most well-run wineries that I ever visited and performed at” and noted that the winery’s White Merlot Rose was “The perfect summer wine for a relaxing day out by the pool, the beach, or a sailboat if you’re in Newport – or whatever beach you’re closest too!”

On Sunday, Newport Vineyards will host its Annual Spring Celebration with wine tastings, live music by the Little Compton Band, games, and whiskey tastings from South Kingston’s Sons of Liberty Spirits Company. The festivities begin at noon and end at 5:00 p.m.

Tickets for the Spring Celebration, which include a wine tasting, are $25 per person and $20 for club members. They can be purchased at Eventbrite.
