Head to Providence during the first weekend in December for some warm light and holiday cheer during Providence’s Three Nights of Lights, presented by Dunkin’.
This three-day festival includes fun for the whole family, with free citywide events, all incorporating the theme of light.
The weekend features tree lightings, holiday shopping events, an ice sculpture garden and so much more. Here’s a look at some of the festivities on schedule each night.
Friday December 1st features the Providence City Hall Tree Lighting, Roving Selfie Station by Luke Renchen Entertainment, Firstworks Multimedia Installation at Grace Episcopal Church and the Mural & Sculpture Illumination by Avenue Concept.
The fun continues on Saturday, December 2nd with a Waterfire Basin Lighting along with a visit by Santa, a Buy Local RI Vendor Market on the IGT patio, Firstworks Multimedia Installation & Live Performance at Grace Episcopal Church and the Mural & Sculpture Illumination by Avenue Concept.
The weekend wraps up with more family friendly fun on Sunday, December 3rd with Irish Step Dancing at the Providence Rink and the Firstworks Multimedia Installation at Grace Episcopal Church.
Also, this year’s Three Nights of Lights kicks off Special Olympics Donut Week, an annual initiative where Dunkin’ franchisees in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts donate 25 cents from every donut sold to Special Olympics.
