RI Has Some Great Outdoor Movie Nights!

Nothing says summertime like watching movies on a big screen under the stars. And RI has some of the best spots for outdoor movie nights! With such a wide variety of genres and locations, the options are endless. Curl up with the family and watch a Disney flick. Grab a few buddies and watch an old favorite. Or plan your next romantic date night with a picnic and a romantic movie under a summer moon. These are all FREE events! Here’s some of the great locations and movies playing this summer:

• Narragansett Town Beach – Spend the day frolicking on the beach and then stick around for the food trucks and a wonderful movie. The North Beach Clubhouse welcomes you to enjoy this season’s Movies on the Beach :

• Ninigret Park in Charlestown – Located in the field across from the playground at Ninigret Park, this is a wonderful setting to meet up with friends and family to watch one of these wonderful films:

  • July 25th ~ Avengers Infinity Wars

• Rocky Point in Warwick – Once the mid-way of Rocky Point Amusement Park, now the outdoor setting of Movies in the Park. Enjoy food trucks starting at 5:30 pm and the movie will start at dusk. Bring your own chairs and blankets. Here’s this year’s line-up:

• NewportFILM in Newport – NewportFILM brings you the films they have discovered from film festivals around the world! • Wilcox Park in Westerly – The United Theatre, in partnership with Westerly Library & Wilcox Park presents musically inspired Movies in the Park series for 2018. The movies begin at sundown, but come on by early and enjoy hands-on events and vendors. Bring some chairs or a blanket and enjoy the fourth exciting season of The United Theatre’s free, family-friendly, premiere outdoor cinematic experience; Movies in the Park!

• Ballard Park in Newport – Enjoy a lovely evening on the grass of the quarry meadow of Ballard Park. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and your friends and family. Enter at the 21 Hazard Road entrance. Movies start at 8pm. This season’s Movies on the Rocks series is:
