The 106th “Big E” Fair & Expo – Sept. 16th – Oct. 2nd

The Eastern States Exposition’s annual fair, The Big E celebrating all six New England states returns to West Springfield, MA from September 16th through October 2nd, 2022.

The Big E remains America’s Premier Exposition, North America’s third largest fair and the largest event of its kind on the Eastern seaboard representing all six New England States.  The annual exposition host more than a million guests for 17 days each September.

The Big E’s signature events include live concerts, unique foods, the finest and most competitive livestock shows in North America, horse shows, shopping, rides, a circus, the Avenue of States and Storrowton Village Museum. With over 100 years of history, The Big E has become a New England experience like none other. Now in its 106th year, the tradition of the Fair continues for what they plan to be their biggest year on record.

Some of the biggest names from the past and present, as well as those on their way to the top, have played before crowds at The Big E.  The tradition continues in 2022 with feature artists Lynard Skynard, Nelly, Brant Gilbert, Dropkick Muphys, Sublime With Rome, Modern English, Everclear, Canned Heat and John Waite to name a few! A feature attraction at the Big E is the Avenue of States, take a step inside and immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and tastes of quintessential New England. See berries straight from the bog in Massachusetts, one of the few places on earth where cranberries grow! Enjoy the ever-popular Maine baked potato with a dollop of sour cream and other tasty toppings. Shop for a wide array of local products stocked at the Connecticut General Store. Have a glass of cool, crisp New Hampshire apple cider. Bring home a block of zesty Vermont cheddar cheese.

In the Rhode Island building you’ll see exhibits featuring fine gold and sterling silver, posters and works of art and other handiwork. You’ll also find information about our beautiful coastline and attractions unique to the Ocean State. Sample sumptuous Rhode Island clam cakes and wash them down with frozen lemonade or specialty coffees. The 17 plus RI companies exhibiting in the RI building incluee Wright’s Dairy Farm and Bakery, Saugy’s, Inc., Rhode Island Brewer’s Guild, National Gold & Diamond, Blount Clam Shack, 13 Stars Hot Sauce, Del’s Lemonade, Friskie Fries and more…..

The Eastern States Exposition’s annual Big-E fair runs from September 16th – October 2nd, 2022, with the following hours; The Big E Bakery: 9am – 10:30pm, Buildings and Craft Common: 10am – 10pm, Avenue of States and Storrowton Village Museum & Shops: 10am – 9pm, New England Center: 10am – 9pm, Midway: Sunday-Thursday, 11am – 10pm; Friday-Saturday, 10am – 11pm. The Expo fair grounds are located at 1305 Memorial Ave. West Springfield, MA.
