The Rhode Island chapter of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s® will be moving forward with an in-person event this fall. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.
Walk individually, with a friend or as a team. All ages are welcome, the 2021 RI Walks will take place at four different locations and dates. The locations, dates and route lengths are as follows, Block Island on September 19th (2 miles), Newport on September 25th (2 miles), Westerly on September 26th (2 miles) and Providence (Roger Williams Park) on October 3rd (3 miles).
All events will implement safety protocols including physical distancing, masks (where required), contactless registration, hand sanitizing stations and more. We will continue to closely monitor Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state and local guidelines to ensure Walk events adhere to recommendations and are safe for attendees.
