We live in an awesome place. We have a place where we can take our children from shore to country hikes in the same day! In fact, we did today! More than that, we live in the seat of history… and knowing the history, we know the opportunity that exists.
I thank mother nature everyday for the ocean; you can find the ocean in many other states of course but ours is pristine, basically preserved and un-populated, clean, full of wildlife and character compared to others. Our coast meanders, it wanders up down and all around our state. We are surrounded by it and it only takes a few minutes to get there! That is the beauty of our ocean. It is also our small town attitude I am thankful for, we all know one another (or their cousin), we hear about what everyone is doing pretty quick and for this we have a more supportive community. I love RI.
We live a block from the bay, and it’s wonderful to be able to go down to the Asprey Boat house and sit, watch the boats or the geese, with a hot cup from DD up the street. It doesn’t get any better. It’s easy to take it all for granted, but we have some serious beauty to be thankful for in RI.
