It’s Always an Adventure at Roger Williams Park Zoo, even in the winter months!
Enjoy half-priced admissions during Winter Wonder Days, now through February 28th! It may be cold and even snowy, but January and February bring the perfect weather in New England to see animals outside enjoying nature’s cooler temperatures.
Winter Wonder Days are available during the Zoo’s seasonal winter hours, Thursday through Monday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and on select Providence school vacations. All non-members must pre-purchase their timed ticket online. For all ticket assistance questions, email email@example.com. Please note, tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
For a more tropical experience, you may want to enjoy the Zoo’s “Breakfast with The Giant Otters” event on Saturday, February 4th from 8:30am – 10:00am. Take a trip to the tropics and experience the Faces of the Rainforest like never before! After a hot breakfast buffet held in the nearby Meller-Danforth Education Center, you’ll make the short walk to the rainforest building. There, you will visit with the staff that care for the animals as you join the giant otters and their keepers behind the scenes for a training session, go below the neighboring building with operations staff as you inspect the maze of pumps and pipes that make up the exhibits life support system and explore the free flight aviary with the rest of the rainforest residents before it opens to the public! Capacity is limited to 30 participants, so register early!
Tickets can be purchased for all Roger Williams Park & Zoo events in advance at www.rwpzoo.org/tickets/
