World’s Sexiest Vegan Lives Where? Rhode Island!

It’s true, Rhode Island is home to PETA’s 2014 World’s Sexiest Vegan Next Door champion!  And it just so happens that he has several other local accolades.  You may know Ryan Bate as our health and fitness blogger or you may also know him as the owner of South County Adventure Boot Camp.  Here is the article about Ryan, The Sexiest Vegan Next Door, from peta.org.

“Ryan, a lifelong resident of Rhode Island, considers his decision to go vegan nine years ago the “most fulfilling and rewarding” one he has ever made. And what pushed him to make the switch? That would be PETA’s eye-opening video, “Meet Your Meat,” which exposes the truth behind factory farming. The expression “wouldn’t harm a fly” applies to Ryan literally. In addition to eating vegan, wearing animal-free clothing, and caring for his animal companions, he looks out for insects by carefully moving them out of harm’s way.

This sexy fitness buff owns a women’s adventure boot camp company, which he runs with his wife, Danielle, who is also vegan. Together, they regularly use their business to raise money for local animal shelters. Ryan, who studied community health education, has long been involved in fitness but says that since going vegan, he has “more energy, less stress, better sleep, increased muscle tone, increased endurance, vibrancy, no anxiety, and, most of all, a zest for life.” He participates in sports leagues, adventure races, and 5K road races and credits his healthy vegan lifestyle with giving him the endurance that he needs.” -peta..org

Ryan and his wife Danielle are just as committed to their vegan life style as they are to helping others on their journey to wellness.  Ryan has made several appearances on the Rhode Show and has successfully been the 5 time winner of RI Monthly’s Best Of for “best group fitness program”.  His has a passion for health and fitness and for the well being of others.  Ryan has been a vegan for almost 10 years and owns a fitness program, South County Adventure Boot Camp,  that is changing the lives of women all over Rhode Island.

In addition, Ryan and Danielle have designed a plant based weight loss system called The Little Black Dress Project.  This program provides you with everything you need to lose weight and transition to a plant based way of eating.  Even if you do not go completely vegan, you will acquire incredible recipes and the “know how” to create delicious, healthy meals.  You can learn more about The Little Black Dress Project here.  What does the future hold for Ryan? He will be releasing a website veganfitness.guru this spring!  The site will be a go to resource for vegan recipes, tips and awesome workout challenges.  Here is a recipe that Ryan and Danielle love to make, give it a whirl!
