Whizz! Bang! Boom! Blasting into the air since the 1700s, fireworks have remained the cornerstone of our nation’s Fourth of July celebrations. Summer’s biggest holiday is synonymous with those patriotic bursts we’ve all come to love. This year, pack up your lawn chairs, blankets and the whole family, and head on down to one of these amazing displays!

BLOCK ISLAND’S TOWN BEACH PAVILION
Block Island
July 2nd, 7:30 (live music start), 9 p.m. (approximate fireworks start)
Get a jump on your July 4th celebration with this annual fireworks display from Town Beach Pavilion. Live music starts around 7:30 p.m., while the fireworks will hit the sky as soon as it’s suitably dark (approximately 9 p.m.)!
Bristol, RI
July 3rd, 9:30 p.m.
Billed as “America’s Oldest Fourth of July Celebration,” Bristol offers a series of events in honor of the holiday. Before their 9:30 p.m. display, they urge visitors to go to their Concert Series downtown, visit local restaurants, walk through Bristol’s beautiful downtown and do some shopping. After a great day there, you’ll surely be excited to watch the spectacular fireworks display over the Bristol Harbor!
CUMBERLAND REC DEPARTMENT FIREWORKS
Cumberland, RI
July 3rd, 9 p.m. (Rain Date: July 5th)
Held at the Tucker Field Complex, this annual display is sure to be tons of fun for the whole family! Come enjoy the music of KINGS ROW, board the Diamond Hill Express train for a fun adventure and get your nom on at their food truck rally!
EAST PROVIDENCE FIREWORKS AT PIERCE FIELD

Food, concessions, and a FREE concert featuring Kicking Hole & Crushed Velvet. All the fun will be followed by FIREWORKS!
JAMESTOWN ROCK ‘HOGS ANNUAL FIREWORKS
Jamestown, RI
July 2nd, 9 p.m.
Enjoy music on the town square at 7:30 p.m., prior to the big show. The Fireworks will be set from a barge in East Ferry. Parking is available along Canonicus Avenue, Narragansett Avenue (and other downtown side streets where parking is not illegal).
MISQUAMICUT STATE BEACH FIREWORKS
Westerly, RI
July 4th, 9 p.m. (Rain Date: July 5th)
Will be held right next to Misquamicut Beach – so you can watch from the sand!
Narragansett, RI
July 4th, 6 p.m.
Before the fireworks, enjoy a beach party at Town Beach! The festivities will start mid-day building sandcastles with Sandtasia and then be followed by Brass Force playing from 5:00pm-7:00pm on the deck at the North Beach Clubhouse. Fireworks will go at dusk!
Newport, RI
July 4th, 9:15 p.m.
The Newport 4th of July Fireworks Display will begin after dark, at approximately 9:15pm. To get the ultimate viewing experience, sit along Newport Harbor, facing west. Fun fact: for an extra good time, you can watch this spectacular display from Rose Island, where a BBQ will be held from 5:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

PAWTUCKET PATRITOIC POST-GAME FIREWORKS
Pawtucket, RI
July 1st, after 6:15 p.m. game
Presented by NBC10, the PawSox will host the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in a 6:15 p.m. game at McCoy Stadium. After the ballgame, fans will be treated to a spectacular Patriotic Fireworks Show! NOTE: Patriotic fireworks will be held after ballgames on July 1 – 3.
PORTSMOUTH FARM FIREWORKS

July 4th, 9:30 p.m.
Head on down to Escobar’s Farm for this privately funded (by Louis Escobar himself) show!
Providence, RI
July 4th, 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
This family-friendly tradition honors the birth of our nation while bringing Providence’s diverse neighborhoods together for a cultural celebration. The event will feature: live music from the Navy Band Northeast, a taste of Providence’s famed culinary scene and some of the best fireworks this side of the Atlantic!
Scituate, RI
July 3rd, 9 p.m.
Set at Hope Jackson Fire Station (they put the FIRE in fireworks) at Hope Park, this event will sell: clam cakes, burgers, hot dogs, drinks, and give away free chowder! Fun activities for the kids include: bounce house, face painting, shrine clowns, balloon animals, temporary tattoos, smoke trailer, glow-sticks and more at 5pm. Fireworks will begin around 9 (sundown)!
SMITHFIELD’S INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT BRYANT UNIVERSITY
Smithfield, RI
July 2nd, 9 p.m. (Rain Date: July 9th)
Bryant University and the Town of Smithfield invite Smithfield residents for a performance by the U.S. Navy Band and fireworks at the institution’s Bulldog Stadium. Campus opens at 6 p.m., the special performance begins at 8 p.m. and fireworks start at 9 p.m.
Wakefield RI
July 4th, 9 p.m. (Rain Date: July 5th)
Partake in the fun at this annual Fourth of July Celebration at Old Mountain Field. The festivities begin at 6:00pm with a concert featuring “Take it to the Bridge”, a high-energy cover band from Southern Rhode Island playing hits you know and love. Fireworks scheduled to begin at 9:00pm. Come early and enjoy food concessions and children’s activities for ages 4 to 7!
