25th Annual Oktoberfest…Columbus Day Weekend

Rhode Island Waterfront Events announces that its 25th Annual Oktoberfest will take place on Columbus Day Weekend, Saturday, October 7th from noon to 8:00 p.m. at the new Bold Point Park venue located at 600 Waterfront Drive in East Providence, Rhode Island. The general admission tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event and can be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com or www.riwaterfrontevents.com, by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000 or by visiting Jordan’s Liquors at 199 Taunton Avenue in East Providence during regular store hours. Tickets for children under 12 years of age are $5 with a paying adult. On the day of the event, tickets will also be available at the Rhode Island Waterfront Events box office at Bold Point Park. For the ultimate Oktoberfest fan, an exclusive “Prost! Pass” package is available in limited quantities for $75 and offers all-day and night admission, access to the open-air Prost Lounge with a private bar, cocktail service, a flight sampling of four Oktoberfest brews, the official Oktoberfest mug and a bratwurst from the Brat Bar for an authentic German treat with all the fixings. The celebration of German culture, food and history will feature Biergartens with domestic, craft and international brewers serving up a variety of seasonal beers, full bars offering cocktails and other libations, savory Austro-German cuisine and live Bavarian and American entertainment, including SPITZE!, the internationally popular German-American band that has always been a fan favorite at the event but will be performing for the last time at Oktoberfest due to its impending retirement.

Waterfront Productions secured final approvals in February on a three–year lease of land at Bold Point Park in East Providence for a seasonal, open-air, waterfront entertainment venue with a capacity for 3,500 people for concerts and 5,000 for general admission festivals. It features concerts, music festivals and other events by national, international and local artists along with food and beverage options including full bars, lounge areas and local food trucks. Event-goers enjoy beautiful views of upper Narragansett Bay, the Providence and Seekonk Rivers and the Providence skyline. Bold Point Park is located at 600 Waterfront Drive in East Providence, Rhode Island off Veteran’s Memorial Parkway and next to Tockwotton on the Waterfront. It is directly across the river from India Point Park in Providence.

Waterfront Productions LLC, headquartered in Newport, Rhode Island, specializes in event management/production and venue operation and is the parent company of Newport Waterfront Events and Rhode Island Waterfront Events.
