5 Weekend Musts! November 6th-8th!

As always, Rhode Island is setting up for another awesome week!  Here is a list of 5 weekend musts!

1.  Newport and Bristol County Restaurant Week starts on the 6th and continues until the 15th.  Many of the area’s finest restaurants will be offering mouth watering menus at a palatable price!  Get the details here.
2. RI Comic Con is in its fourth successful year!  The award-winning Rhode Island Comic Con is now a three day extravaganza including, two venues and 110 celebrity guests, actors from Star Trek, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy, Agents of Shield, among others. There will be comic book artists from Marvel, DC and the independent market all converge on downtown Providence. Gaming, cosplay and after parties all add to an exciting schedule of events and panels.  More details here!
3. Artists Open Studio is taking place in the Foster area on Saturday from 10am – 4pm.  This is a family friendly event that allows you to revel in the art scene in Northern Rhode Island.  The artists will open their studio doors and invite you into their creative world.  Bring your questions and your passion for art!  #supportlocalartists  Learn more here!
4. The First Ever Mini Maker Faire–  “Barnes & Noble is proud to have partnered with Make: Magazine to launch the Mini Maker Faire nationally. A Maker Faire is a community-based learning event that inspires everyone to become a Maker and connect with people and projects in their local community. These events are for people of all ages and backgrounds who have a desire to create, learn and share, and who bring a DIY mindset to technology. The Maker movement has boomed in recent years, as evidenced by the more than 130 worldwide Maker Faires that took place in 2014, including one at the White House.”  Learn more here!
5. WaterFire–  Salute the Veterans with a full lighting of WaterFire in Providence.  Sunset is at 4:34 (crazy right!) There will be tributes throughout the night to show our gratitude to the men and women who serve and protect our nation.  Get the details here.
