- The Ocean State Oyster Festival– Saturday, September 19th from 12-5 at Riverwalk Park. $25.00 is the ticket price and kids 12 and under are free. The ticket will get you 6 local oysters and a local micro-brew or glass of wine. There will also be live music, a DJ, shucking contest, vendors and so much more. This is a family friendly day and is guaranteed to make your weekend memorable and delicious!
- The Misquamicut Fall Festival– This family fun event will take place all weekend long! There will be rides, a petting zoo, amusements, food, music, classic car show and so much more. This is a great way to send off summer right by the ocean.

3. Hope Street Fall Festival– This event takes place on September 20th from 12-5 pm. Miriam Hospital and CVS have made this event even better than before. There will be more activities, entertainment, and fun.
“This year’s entertainment lineup features Rose Weaver, Emma Joy Galvin, Emeline Easton, John Faraone, Extraordinary Rendition Band,Eastern Medicine Singers 2, and Joe’s Backyard Band.
Be sure to find the Wine Garden (located near Seven Stars Bakery) that will also feature a beautiful selection of cheeses 
from Whole Foods Market University Heights.
Lots of fun activities for kids and kids at heart including the East Side/Mt. Hope YMCA Bounce House, Rock Spot Climbing Lincoln- Official Climbing Wall, Scavenger Hunt, Free kids and adult fitness classes by the Dwares JCC, Group Fun Runs with Róisín McGettigan Dumas, and a Boldrdash Fitness Challenge for All Ages.

4. The Newport International Boat Show– Boat enthusiasts will be in heaven with over 13 acres of waterfront showcasing some of the finest boats around. All sizes ranging from, 16-100 feet will be ready for boarding and viewing. There will be onsite dealers, manufacturers and much more. The perfect reason to spend a day in Newport!
