The store specializes in new and used vinyl, and has an ever shifting stock, with collectors and DJs regularly coming in buy, sell, and trade. As with most local and independent record stores, Record Store Day is an important part of the year, and Looney Tunes orders albums that really match the mellow local vibes of South County. The store has a huge selection of Jamaica’s finest musical imports, reflecting Dante’s deep knowledge and connection with island music. The store has exceptional foot traffic with its proximity to popular local businesses like Ocean Catch Seafood, Nonchalant Mom, Uncle Sam’s Army Navy, the Bluebird Cafe, Drift Surf, and Picture This Gallery and Framing. All of Peter Dante’s customers will be sad to hear that he is leaving his post behind the counter at Looney Tunes, and the only way to cushion the blow will be to know that another true music lover will take his place; to share perfect musical suggestions, order the rarest albums, and provide a fantastic place to listen to and talk about the newest releases.
