Sons of Liberty Shows Size Does Matter with the Big Beer Release Party, Friday March 3rd
South Kingstown Distillery Welcomes Acoustic Duo, FrankenPhil and Eddie’s BBQ to Celebrate New Beer Releases in a Big Way
The crew at Sons of Liberty is at it again with the release of their latest creation, beer! BIG beer! On Friday, March 3rd, Sons of Liberty is letting everyone know there is nothing small about craft booze in Rhode Island as the distillery hosts its Big Beer Release Party.
The Big Beer Release Party will be celebrating the arrival of two, brand-new barrel-aged beers that are big in every way, we’re talking 22 oz. big, and 10-15% ABV.
To get the party started, Sons of Liberty is inviting the dynamic duo of FrankenPhil to serenade the crowd with live acoustic tunes. Narragansett’s very own Eddie’s BBQ is making the quick trip to the distillery to feature their classic, mouthwatering BBQ pulled pork and other various treats for the evening.
The new big beer releases will be a Barrel Aged Uprising Stout (9.97% ABV) and a Barrel Aged Battle Cry Belgian Tripel Ale (15.85% ABV). The Uprising Stout is the Stout that is distilled into Sons of Liberty’s signature Uprising Whiskey, but this big beer is aged in used Uprising Whiskey barrels. The Battle Cry Belgian Ale is the Ale distilled into the distillery’s Battle Cry Whiskey and this one is so big in character (15.85% ABV) that it could not be carbonated within its 22 oz. bottle so it will be sold as a “still beer.” Selections will be sold for $15 and $18 per bottle respectively.
That’s not all – Sons of Liberty is also introducing their first-ever bottled sour beer as part of their Chris Coolship Series (named after one of their brewers). A Wild Fermented Oatmeal Stout, this beer is created from the same grain bill as their Uprising Stout beer. This marks the beginning of Sons of Liberty’s quest to launch multiple products from one grain bill. This will also be sold in 22 oz. bottles for $15.
The distillery will open its doors at 5pm, but the line will probably start sooner. No money needed at the door, only for drinks and BBQ!
