Providence Children’s Film Festival

Coming later this month, the Providence Children’s Museum will be hoping the Providence Children’s Film Festival. Starting on February 13th and running through February 23rd, the film festival will be showing kid-friendly movies from all over the world.

On February 15th and 16th, for example, the Japanese classic My Neighbor Totoro will be showing in the afternoon. Or, bring your child to Ernest and Celestine, a charming French animated feature, playing at RISD on the 15th and the 22nd of February.

The festival will be showing these films at three different venues on College Hill in Providence: the RISD Auditorium at 17 Canal Walk, Cable Car Cinema. All three are just over the ProvidenceRiver, well within walking distance of downtown.

In addition to movies, the Film Festival will also host a series of workshops.

Tickets are $6 for children, seniors, and students with a valid ID card. General adult tickets are $8. For more information, including show times and more information about classes, visit the festival’s website.
