Blues on The Beach in Westerly, RI
Blues on the Beach, AKA Tunes on the Dunes, is Westerly’s premier music event this summer. Running from July 7th through August 20th, Blues on the Beach has a lot to offer, for old and young alike. Here is just a sample of the bands and solo artists that will be performing at Westerly Town Beach this July and August.
On Wednesday, July 16th, local blues mainstays Young Neal and the Vipers will be performing.
On Monday, July 21st, Beach Boys tribute band The Driftwoods will be performing. Come by and hear all your old favorites performed live.
On Wednesday, July 23rd, Florida-based rock, jazz, and blues band NRBQ will be performing on the beach. The band has been performing live since the sixties, and is known to never use a set list, so get ready for something original and organic.

On Monday, July 28th, local legends John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band will be performing. Known for their hits such as Tender Years and On the Dark Side, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown band got its start in Rhode Island before going on to enjoy nationwide fame in the 1980s. As far as his solo work goes, John Cafferty is perhaps best known for performing the Rock IV training song “Hearts on Fire.”
On August 6th, critically-acclaimed blues pianist Al Copley will be performing. Al Copley is one of the founding members of Roomful of Blues.
There is no entrance fee to Blues on the Beach in Westerly, RI. All concerts start at 6:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM, which will should still leave you with a bit of remaining sunlight for the day. Westerly Town Beach is located at 365 Atlantic Avenue, right down the road from Misquamicut Beach.
