Hope Street Holiday Stroll in Providence

On Thursday, December 4th, there will be a Holiday Stroll down Hope Street in Providence. Here’s a look at some of the events being held during the stroll.

The Hope Street Holiday Stroll starts at 4:00 PM and runs until 8:00, and the festivities start immediately. Starting at 4:00, Hope Street Strollyou can check out the Craft Tent. There’s free Channukah and other winter crafts between 4th Street and Lauriston Street, as well as a shirt sale and raffle at the same location. At Hope Returns, at 764 Hope Street, there will be free face painting. From 4:00 to 6:00, there will be a free petting zoo in the parking lot of the Citizen’s Bank at 792 Hope Street, right across from the CVS.

Starting at 5:00, and running until the end of the Stroll at 8:00, there will be free sleigh rides up and down Hope Street. Also starting at 5:00, Santa will be at The Rhode Guide at 780 Hope Street. Your kids can get their pictures taken with Santa, free of charge–make sure you bring your own camera, though!

At the Seven Stars Bakery at 820 Hope Street, you can check out the Providence Children’s Film Fest Screening, from 5:30 to 7:00.

At Olive del Mondo, at 8:15 Hope Street, there will be a homemade menorah display, in addition to some snacks. At 4:30, there will be a Channukah story, as well as edible dreidel making.

At 776 Hope Street, you can check out some Fire Jugglers from 7:00 to 8:00, at the appropriately-named Blaze East Side.

There’s a lot going on during the Stroll, and a lot of places to visit. If you get hungry, there will be a number of local food trucks present, serving up hot, delicious food for the length of the stroll.
