Providence doesn’t slow down for the winter. On the contrary, December is a wonderfully busy month in the city. Here are four holiday events taking place over the next month in Providence and the surrounding area.

  1. The Cirque Dreams Holidaze performance will be held from December 5th through December 7th at the Providence Events in ProvidencePerforming Arts Center. Tickets start at $28 for this entertaining and acrobatic show.   2. The Holiday in the Park event will be held at Roger Williams Park on December the 6th. There will be live music, food, a visit from Santa, arts and crafts, and more. Admission is free with the donation of a canned good. Learn more at providenceri.com/botanical-center.
  3. From now through December 20th, Providence Place Cinemas will be offering free admission to a number of holiday classics with the donation of a canned food item. The movies include A Christmas Story, It’s a Wonderful Life, and Miracle on 34th Street. Learn more at showcasecinemas.com.
  4. From December 5th through December 14th, the Armory in Pawtucket will be holding their 32nd annual artist’s holiday show.
