On Monday, March 5th, the Southern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce held an official ribbon cutting ceremony for Caf Bar, located at 119 Main Street in Wakefield.
Caf Bar is a brand new coffee and food shop owned by local residents Elias and Ally Boutros. The convenient downtown Wakefield location offers easy access and plenty of street parking for its patrons.
“We first moved to Wakefield about four years ago and fell in love with the community and South County as a whole. We decided to buy a house and build a home because of our love for this community. As new residents, we envisioned a business that focused on the want and needs of the community; local people supporting local businesses and building a local gathering place for our neighbors and friends. Our goal in this industry is to focus on the customer, offering quality food and beverages with a ton of hospitality to the residents and visitors of South County.”
Their menu will offer a variety of drinks food options including coffee, tea, smoothies, juices, sandwiches, and salads. Their goal is to serve “quality food using locally sourced, organic, non- GMO, sustainable ingredients as often as possible.”
Caf Bar is open Monday-Saturday from 7am to 5pm, and closed on Sundays. A sample of their menu can be found at www.cafbarri.com.
