On Friday, July 13th, the Southern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce held an official ribbon cutting ceremony for Sweet Althea’s, located at 542 Kingstown Road in Wakefield.
Sweet Altheas is a full service coffee shop that proudly serves Dave’s Coffee. Their muffins, scones, and assorted pastries are baked from scratch daily. They also accept orders for custom cakes, cupcakes, and cake pops for all occasions.
“We loved our little store on Main Street, but we were in desperate need of more space to grow,” owner Kim Curtis explained.
The move to Quo Vadis Plaza gives Sweet Altheas a chance to expand their already wide selection of baked goods. The store plans to expand their menu by adding more varieties of cookies, scones, croissants, and muffins (including some gluten free options).
Their hours are Monday-Saturday 7am to 4pm, and Sunday 8am-2pm. For more information, visit www.sweetaltheas.com
