Celebrate the dog days of summer at Wakefield ’s Endless Summer event on Thursday, August 17th from 5 to 11 p.m. The event, located on historic Main Street in downtown Wakefield , is hyping up for the “perfect wave” of family fun for everyone.
Wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt, flip flops, sarongs, and beach gear, and dance the night away to the sounds of local, live music from surf-style, reggae, and more, including The Z Boys, The Mintones, and The Indestructibles. Enjoy a variety of food, as well as an authentic pig roast, local wine and beer, as well as tropical drinks, amidst surf décor and a gigantic replica of a volcano and waterfall. Child-friendly activities, special guests, sing-along songs, and games will begin earlier in the evening. A special RiverFire is not to be missed, as the warm glow of fire baskets are lit along the Saugatucket River . Downtown shops and businesses will be open later.
