Fall is a special time in New England and at Coggeshall Farm Museum! Join us this October for special fall and Halloween programming for all ages.

Explore our 48 acres of coastal farmland, enjoy a hay wagon ride, learn about Halloween and jack-o-lantern history, hear haunting stories of New England folklore, and so much more! Visitors can also play games, learn about New England witchcraft history and herbalism, explore a hay maze, and more! Be sure to meet and greet our chickens, sheep, pigs, and cats too!

One highlight of Fall at the Farm is special talks and tours, including:

• Witches and Wisewomen: Explore the history of New England witchcraft and herbalism on a walking tour around the farm. Learn the medicinal and magical uses of plants in the garden, discuss the origins of witches and their role in the new world.
• Ghosts of Rhode Island Past: Indulge in some of Rhode Island’s spooky tales and folklore. Start by learning about Nathaniel Byfield, the man behind Coggeshall’s mysterious memorial marker. From there we will explore all things haunted, macabre, and uniquely Rhode Island.
• The History of Halloween: Where did the holiday we know as Halloween come from? In this tour we’ll explore the ancient roots of the Halloween we know today, as well as the evolution of its most iconic symbol: carved vegetable jack-o’-lanterns.
