Planet Earth, the Environment and Our Future will be on view from Saturday, March 19 through Sunday, May 1, 2022, with a closure for a ticketed event from Monday, March 28 to Tuesday, April 6, 2022. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Earlier in the afternoon, 4:00 pm on the opening day, Barnaby Evans, the executive artistic director of WaterFire Providence and curator of the exhibition, will be joined by a selection of artists in the exhibition who will each talk about the context and details of their art pieces in the show and how they position their work with respect to the larger conversation about the environment. Participating artists include Richard Friedberg, Joan Hall, Dennis Hylnsky, Sarah Jane Lapp, Janice Lardey, Haley MacKeil, and Faith Wilding.
