Heidi Nirk Returns to 2023 – Tumblin’ & Stumblin’

The much-anticipated return of the Heidi Nirk Band to the RI music scene has come by way of a new album of music just in time for the new year.

Pre-pandemic, the Heidi Nirk Band (HNB) seemed to be everywhere, from headlining on their own to opening for touring national acts. The band was on fire until the Covid restrictions caused them to chill out like so many other artists and businesses in the entertainment and hospitality industry

During the band’s hiatus from the stage, they made the best of the situation by focusing on writing, re-grouping and recording. The result is the release of the Tumblin’ & Stumblin’ album just in time for the new year!

The album is special, in fact it slams with rock & roll swing, with a pinch of soul, glazed over with just enough blues that makes this record too cross over to put in a nutshell. The common denominator is Heidi’s vocals that glues it all together….. From fun to gritty….. It just feels like a party from track to track – from start to finish.

The album opens with Friday Night, a swinging jazzy bluesy track that is pure party feel. The following track is the nitty gritty Walk of Shame grinding with sax and attitude. Track three takes us to the album title….. Tumblin’ & Stumblin’ , a rocking fun driving tune with killer instrumentals…… Enough with the spoiler alerts…. Check this killer album out for yourself and watch closely for the band’s record release show. One thing is for sure, every tune is written with a Nirk live performance in mind (as every Nirk tune should).

The HNB is Heidi Nirk on vocals, Rob Nelson on guitar, Paul Tomasello on bass, Charlie Huntington on keys & Chad Souza on drums. Guest artists on the album include Greg Piccolo on tenor sax with Lori Silvia and Adreienne West on guest background vocals.
