Camille’s

Camille’s has been a Federal Hill mainstay since 1914, and continues to offer its diners a wide variety of Italian foods.

Camille’s serves both lunch and dinner. For lunch, you could try their strawberry, walnut, and goat cheese salad, paired with a Chicken Parmigiana sandwich served with melted mozzarella cheese. Or, you could try one of Camille’s lunch entrees, like the grilled salmon over rabe, or their fresh shrimp scampi.

For dinner, the menu really opens up. Along with salads and pasta dishes, Camille serves a number of Italian seafood dishes, such as the Zuppa di Pesce, a dish consisting of calamari, shrimp, scallops, littleneck, and mussels, or the Filetto Di Salmone Alla Griglia, which is Norwegian salmon and Alaskan king crab served with asparagus and whipped potato.

If you’re not hungry for seafood, Camille serves pork, duck, chicken, veal, and a variety of other satisfying entrees. If you’re looking for something lighter, try an appetizer like the pan fried risotto balls or the roasted Portobello mushrooms, stuffed with sausage and spinach.

Camille’s has a great selection of desserts, as well. Along with the Italian desert mainstay, Tiramisu, Camille’s has some unconventional—but delicious—dessert options, from crème brulee to a deconstructed vanilla cheesecake.

In addition to serving excellent food, Camille’s has live musical entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings. They also offer large, elegant private dining rooms, capable of holding as many as one hundred diners, and as few as eight.

If you’re looking for a good glass of wine, Camille’s is definitely the right place for you. They have high-quality wines from Italy, France, and the United States, including a wonderful selection of Tuscan chiantis.
