Brunch Spots in Rhode Island

Brunch is, for most people, a rarely eaten treat. So when you do go to brunch, you want to make sure that you go somewhere that makes the experience worth it. Throughout Rhode Island, you can find any number of restaurants hosting a variety of different options.

For starters, you could check out Julian’s on Broadway in Providence. Julian’s serves Brunch until 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday, and until 2:00 PM on the weekends. On their brunch menu you will find a fantastic selection of foods, from something light like the herb scrambled egg wrap, or, if you’re looking for something more substantial to sate your appetite, you can try salmon, steak, or a tall stack of pancakes or French toast. In addition to having an amazing, expansive breakfast menu, Julian’s also has a number of vegetarian and vegan options.

Right down the street from Julian’s is Nick’s on Broadway, which serves brunch Wednesdays through Sundays. Have rich, filling, and often locally-sourced brunch foods. Try their vanilla-battered brioche french toast, or have a slice of warm cobbler with a dollop of on-site made ice cream.

If you find yourself in Newport, stop by the Corner Café on Broadway. Bright and inviting, the Corner Café is a fantastic place to spend a sunny morning. The Corner Café has an appetizing menu, with dishes that are certain to fill you up. If you are looking for a hearty meal, have a tall stack of cinamon French toast dusted with sweet confectioner’s sugar, or a shrimp, bacon, spinach, and broccoli omelette.

Also in Newport is the Perro Salado.  Known for their eclectic Mexican cuisine as well as their incredibly crafted Margaritas.  Try the Huevos Rancheros or sink your teeth into the Burritto Desayuno.  Add a side of Jalapeno Bacon and wash it all down with a Spicy Cucumber Margarita…mmmmm.

If you’re looking to get away from traditional American breakfast foods, stop by India on Hope Street in Providence, which hosts a buffet brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Help yourself to vegetable samosas, papadams, mango chutney or two different varieties of curries, and you will certainly leave India feeling satisfied.
