The longstanding tradition of the Pinewood Derby has been the highlight of many a Cub Scout since 1953. Scouts work with parents and mentors to build and race their own Pinewood Derby cars and this year Newport’s local Pack 33 will be holding it at the Audrain Auto Museum on Saturday, February 3rd! This wonderful experience teaches teamwork, craftsmanship and some healthy competition. After the race, the Audrain Auto Museum will be hosting a fundraiser from 6:30 – 8:30pm to support the Cub Scouts upcoming trip to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in NYC! Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and a silent auction. This is a great event held in support of an awesome group of kids in a very cool location! Tickets are $50 and can be purchased here.
