Join Mayor Jorge Elorza, City of Providence offcials, WaterFire Providence, members of the PRONK collective and community partners for a celebration of the Providence River Pedestrian Bridge. The artist-led event will feature performances by the several of the bands participating in PRONK! (the Providence HONK! Festival) as well as Big Nazo followed by a special WaterFire illumination. An illuminated procession across the bridge will begin around sunset at approximately 6:15PM.

The event is free and open to the public.

Arts & Eats is back for a fall edition!

Sunday, October 20th from 10am-5pm shop 20 unique artisans while enjoying a variety of food trucks, seasonal drinks, and live music.  You can expect to see lots of autumn influence throughout!  The event is free to attend. Enjoy your food and beverages outside with the artisans, music and activities or head inside and take advantage of seating throughout the tasting room and it’s unique seating options.  Curated by Field of Artisans, the market will comprise of a variety of artisans from all over New England.  Local food trucks will be provided by PVD Food Truck Events and Food Trucks In.  The Sons of Liberty tasting room will be serving a variety of beer, craft cocktails using 100% house-made ingredients and their increasingly popular Loyal 9 canned cocktails.

South County Trolley & Transportation, LLC will be providing a free shuttle throughout the day – last shuttle back around 5pm. Details will be posted on the official Facebook event.  Please do not park across the street at Pump House Music Works or in any spots marked by cones, those are reserved for other tenants of the mill.

Artisans and food trucks accept credit, debit or cash.  Be sure to stop by Sons of Liberty’s retail shop inside to grab your cold-weather whiskey.

The Armory farmers market takes place in the Dexter Training Grounds, located near the historic Cranston Street Armory building on Providence’s West Side. The market features fresh fruit, vegetables, meat & poultry, eggs, bread, cheese, coffee, and prepared foods—from 17 local farmers and food producers—along with live musical performances weekly.

Shoppers at the market can purchase items using cash, credit or debit card, SNAP/EBT card, WIC, and Senior coupons. And for those using SNAP (supplemental nutrition assistance program) benefits, Farm Fresh RI provides a 1o0% or more bonus! Shoppers swipe their EBT card at the farmers market Welcome Table and get tokens to spend on groceries at the market. Bring Your Own Improv (BYOI) is now in its twelfth season!  This interactive improv show welcomes voluntary audience participation!  You can participate in one of three ways: Applaud for a scene you like, yell out fantastic suggestions, or if you feel you’re ready, jump up and get involved with us on stage!!!

Sip, savor and toast to the seasons’ crush at our 4th Annual Harvest Festival! Two days full of grape stomping, wine and beer tasting, pie eating goodness. Enjoy live music while sipping on our local Newport Vineyards wines or fresh Taproot Brewing Co. beer, and noshing on food created by scratch from our culinary team. Feeling competitive? The conversation continues at the Contemporary Theater in Wakefield!

Come and experience this valuable, out-of-the-box tool for improving our communication with persons with Dementia and those showing signs of Cognitive Impairment. This workshop is for anyone living with dementia, their companions, family and friends, those that are supportive members of the Alzheimer’s community, and anyone interested in learning more about Cognitive Impairment.
Benefits include:
Learning playful tools for connecting with others.
The power of eye contact and non-verbal communication skills.
How flexibility and laughter can relieve the most stressful situations.
Meeting and making connections with others – support group.
Using music to illicit memories while increasing social engagement.
