The Rooftop at the Providence G presents “Tannins & Tapas”.  A sunset rooftop wine tasting & culinary tour by acclaimed Chef Robert Sisca

The Rooftop at the Providence G, Providence’s only rooftop lounge and restaurant, is proud to launch a new series of special wine and food events through the 2017 spring and summer season beginning with “Tannins & Tapas” on Sunday, May 7th, from 6pm-9pm.

Guests will be able to take in beautiful sunset views and revel under the stars from the Rooftop perched seven stories up in the heart of downtown. Relax by one of several firepits, indulge in fine wines from around the world, and sample canapes highlighting our new summer menu by award winning Chef Robert Sisca. Well-known piano singer Billy Musto will add to the festive atmosphere as he performs throughout the evening.

“Tannins & Tapas” will feature four distinct wine and culinary areas, providing guests the opportunity to experience pairings from around the world. Northwest x Northeast will feature wines from Oregon, Washington, New York State and New England. Below the Belt will include wines from South America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The Mediterranean zone will showcase wines of Greece, Sicily and Croatia. The Alps will include wines from the higher altitude regions of France and Italy. “Tannins & Tapas” is sponsored by M.S. Walker Fine Wines & Spirits.

Chef Sisca eagerly looks forward to Tannins & Tapas stating, “I have a deep passion for pairing food and wine from around the world. Each year, I travel for culinary inspiration and to participate in food and wine festivals. I am very excited to host this special wine and food pairing event in Providence with our team at the Rooftop at the Providence G. I believe it will be a great opportunity to showcase the talents of our culinary team and diversity of our menu with wine selections from many different regions.” Chef Sisca has been nominated twice as Food & Wine Magazine’s “Best New Chef” and is a frequent guest at major food and wine festivals, including Newport, Nantucket & Miami.
