Rise & Play: Sensory-Friendly Mornings in Our Big Backyard

Tuesday, June 4 | 9:00 – 10:00 AM

Join us for an hour of nature play before the zoo opens: designed for families who have a child with sensory sensitivities, come and play in Hasbro’s Our Big Backyard from 9 to 10 a.m. Build mud pies, watch boats float downstream and climb high in a tree-house. Limited to 70 participants, this hour will allow you and your family to spend time playing in nature, in a smaller group of guests.Program is the cost of regular daytime Zoo admission, and free for RWP Zoo members.

Warwick Symphony Orchestra: Pop Up Concert

Sunday, June 9 | 1:00 – 4:00 PM

Listen to the delightful sounds of the Warwick Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, June 9th for their Pop Up Series Concert at the Zoo! Find them in the Wilderness Plaza near the Zoo’s newest exhibit, Faces of the Rainforest. Please note: Concert is FREE with Zoo admission.

This Warwick Symphony Orchestra Pop Up Concert is sponsored by Robert’s Music. As a touring symphony, the WSO brings music to communities across the Ocean State and aims to keep our live music events accessible to all.

Margaritas and Macaws: Young Professionals Night

Thursday, June 20 | 6:00 – 8:00 PM

Kick off summer with the wildest networking event around! Step inside Roger Williams Park Zoo’s new Faces of the Rainforest exhibit for a night like no other. Discover giant otters, sloths, howler monkeys, and tropical birds as you grab drinks and mingle with other young professionals.  Plus get up-close with hyacinth macaws from 6:30 – 7:30 pm during an exclusive zookeeper-led encounter!  You won’t want to miss this. Must be 21+ to attend and online preregistration is required.  Your admission includes one complimentary drink (either a margarita, wine, or beer) plus savory appetizers. A full cash bar will be available throughout the evening.  Please note that only the Faces of the Rainforest exhibit and Rainforest Plaza will be open to visitors during this event.  

Zoobilee! Feast with the Beasts

Saturday, June 29 | 7:00 – 11:00 PM

Zoobilee! – Feast with the Beasts, presented by Alex and Ani, is the Zoo’s largest single-night fundraiser featuring fine fare from dozens of the area’s best restaurants and caterers. Enjoy fabulous entertainment including live music and dancing, and other fun surprises! This is an adults-only evening event (21+). Your ticket includes all food tastings. Hydration stations and cash bars available. Just want to come to see World Premier Band? New for 2019, purchase a Dessert & Dance ticket and join the party at 9:00pm. (Select desserts and cash bar available)
