The Bread Lab in Pawtucket

The Bread Lab, a new restaurant in Pawtucket, has just opened its doors to the public, and is definitely worth a visit.

The restaurant was opened by Deana and Keith Martins, who previously ran Biga Breads in Massachussets. They are expert bakers, and have brought their know-how to their new venture.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, with hardwood floors that used to double as a dance floor and large windows that light up the room. In addition to comfortable, coffeehouse style-seating and broad tables, they also have a large, fully-stocked bar.

As the name suggests, one of the big draws of the Bread Lab is the bread. Try out their bread sampler, which comes with a fantastic selection of their best breads. The breads and crostinis come with pickled onions, balsamic fig relish, fried salami, peppercorn ricotta, and more.

Of course, the Bread Lab has a lot more to offer than just fresh, hot bread. If you want a full meal,  The Bread Lab has you covered. Try out one of their burgers, served with slaw and hush puppies, or one of their sandwiches, like their grilled chicken pesto sandwich, served with fire roasted peppers, spinach, and mozzarella on focaccia bread.

Considering it was founded by bakers, it shouldn’t be any surprise that The Bread Lab has a great selection of pastries. Try out their cannoli, tarts, or, if you’re really looking for a treat, one of their cupcakes.

If you want a drink, step up to the bar and try out the Bread Lab’s great selection of liquor, beer, and wine. The Bread Lab takes a special interest in regionally-produced drinks, including a great selection of local beers.

The Bread Lab is located in the HopeArtistVillage at 999 Main Street in Pawtucket. It’s  right on the corner of Main Street and Warren.
