I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Cats at Theatre By The Sea in RI. I say absolute pleasure because the experience goes far beyond the play itself. Not only was the performance breath-taking and brimming with talent, but the entire experience of being there was beyond words. This theatre sits on a quiet road in Matunuck and spends the winter resting among the chilly ocean breeze. As the weather warms this magnificent spot comes to life. The meticulous landscaping takes on various shades of green and begins to burst into a show of summer colors. As this happens the theatre itself begins to bustle with talented actors and actresses, directors, artists, and crew, as well as the staff members who exude professionalism coupled with a kind nature. This is part of the intricate formula that makes Theatre By The Sea in RI one of the most magical places around.

Theatre By The Sea in RI goes far beyond being simply a theatre. The establishment itself is surrounded by farmland and literally spills out onto the beach. Stopping by for a drink at the bar is more than one would typically expect. The bartenders are there to provide you with top-notch personable service. Once you are there you will notice the incredible menu available at Bistro by the Sea, the restaurant. From soups to salads and seafood to burgers…this menu has something for everyone.
Fresh Shrimp Brushetta is one of my favorites! Loaded with plump shrimp, ripe tomatoes, and house made pesto…this dish is sure to please. There is great beer on tap as well as a wide variety of wine and a fabulous drink selection. Whether you seek theatre, food, or drinks…this place is an absolute must on your “to-do” list.
