Happy Halloween Weekend

This upcoming weekend is going to be one of the busiest of the season. Here are some of the events happening this weekend, from Friday the 31^st to Sunday the 2^nd.

Friday the 31^st is Halloween. If you’re going trick or treating, Friday night should be cloudy and in the mid-fifties, so be sure to dress appropriately. There are a number of Halloween events happening this weekend, such as a special screening of the horror classic Saw at the at the Showcase Cinemas in the Providence Place Mall, and at Showcase Cinemas in Warwick. Or, you could attend the “Redrum: Oath” event at the Southside Cultural Center in Providence on Halloween night. This is an interactive show that will explore the inner workings of a cult. Learn more about this event here.

Rhode Island Comic Con is also taking place this weekend, which will include a number of celebrity guests and a massive dealer’s room. The convention is being held at the Providence Convention Center at 1 Sabin Street, and runs Friday through Sunday. Learn more at www.ricomiccon.com.

Sunday is the last day of the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at Roger Williams Park, so be sure to stop by if you haven’t already. Come by after sunset and take a scenic walk along trails lined with thousands of expertly-carved jack-o-lanterns. Learn more at here.

On Saturday the 1^st, the 3DM Music Festival will be held at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence. This show is best experienced with 3D glasses on, as 3D technology has been incorporated heavily into the stage show, making for a truly breathtaking experience. And on Sunday, the Providence Bruins will be playing St. John’s Ice Caps at home at the Dunkin Donuts Center. Learn more about the game here.
