JourneyDance™ is a transformational dance form that combines freestyle and structured movement to inspire you to get out of your mind and into your body. Led by leadership coach, Sara Emhof, this class combines the mindfulness tools of coaching with the creativity of dance. JourneyDance™ will calm your nervous system, empower your inner warrior, and burn some calories. No dance experience or yoga mat needed! Get ready to shake off some stress and feel grounded, funky, sexy, and relaxed.

Sara Emhof

Sara is a Journey Dance apprentice and leadership coach. Working a high stress sales job had sent her into chronic stress mode with anxiety and depression. While studying stress and its affects on brain, she found Journey Dance and never looked back. As a former athlete, movement was always a way to get out of her head and into her body, but working out and yoga were not enough. Journey Dance added unique elements that healed her anxiety and increased serotonin and oxytocin, so she not only felt relaxed, but empowered. Today, Sara travels between New England and Buffalo, NY working with clients and organizations on building stress resilience.

She has recorded with Rhode Island legend Duke Robillard. Backed by veterans Hap Hathaway-Lead Guitar, Ramon “Bernie” Sanchez-Keyboards, David Wildenhain-Bass and John Iacona-Drums. The band plays rock, pop, swing, R&B, and contemporary. We play the music of Bonnie Raitt, Pat Benatar, Sheryl Crow, Etta James, Fleetwood Mac, Joss Stone, The Beatles, Santana, Adele, Lady GaGa, Beth Hart, The Black Keys, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars & many more. We can tailor our set list to fit your function. The band will keep the toes tapping and the dancers dancing. More than anything we love to perform and we have fun doing it!

We are Thrilled to welcome back Singer, songwriter, guitarist, storyteller, sailor and road warrior Scott Kirby. Writing songs for a new CD, performing 150 live shows a year throughout the US and Canada, and holding down the stage at his own club—Key West’s Smokin’ Tuna Saloon—keep the barnacles off this modern-day troubadour.

A creative lyricist and accomplished finger-style acoustic guitarist with an expressive voice, Kirby describes himself as a direct descendant of the ’70s singer… a Margaritaville experience you’ll want to see, sing and dance too.

He will be joined on this tour by Harmonica virtuoso Gary Green of Charlottesville, Virginia.  Green is a winner of several national and international harmonica competitions and has accompanied and recorded with dozens with artists on the east coast, and tours regularly with the Mayer Kirby Mayer Group.  He also recently returned from a cultural exchange to Afghanistan where he performed with a number of American and Afghan musicians.  He has recorded several albums of his own.

Bob Doolittle of Hanover, Massachusetts will round out the trio on acoustic, electric and bass guitar and vocals.   Doolittle is an 8 time Boston Music Award winner and performed with well-known songwriter Darrel Scott for several years as well as many other artists
