The New Year is upon us and many of us find ourselves making new healthy goals to start 2016 off right. Often, we continue for about a month and then slip back into our old habits. Whether you buy a gym membership or swear off sweets, the end result is often the same…we slowly slip back into our old ways. There are many reasons for this behavior, but one obvious reason is the plan we make for ourselves. Working out on a regular basis takes commitment, diligence and a whole lot of self discipline. Not to mention, finding time and creating a schedule that works with your already busy life. This is where a workout like South County Boot Camp will set you up for long-term success in 2016. Here are 5 solid reasons that you should join South County Boot Camp this year!
1. Variety: They say variety of the spice of life and when it comes to your workout routine, spice is definitely nice! Your trainers, Ryan and Danielle Bate, come to each session with an entirely new workout every single day. That means you will never enter the monotonous zone that can happen in a gym setting. There are no TV’s plastered on the wall which are attempting to convince you that you are not bored with your workout. At SC Boot Camp your physical and mental presence are a must as each day is filled with a new and exciting challenge. These workouts are designed to leverage the environment around you, meaning you can even do many of the exercises at home too! This variety sets you up for long term success as you no longer need to fear becoming bored of your workout. Each day is literally a new adventure!
2. Affordability: While a gym membership might seem like a cheaper option, you must first understand what it is you are paying for with South County Boot Camp. In the gym, you will get lost in the sea of gym goers and accountability is on your own shoulders. At SC Boot Camp, each session is less than 10 dollars and is filled with results driven practices. To begin, the trainers will get to know you on an individual basis and help you achieve your personal best. This is something no gym can promise. You trainers will complete before and after assessments as well as keep in contact through email and Facebook with healthy ideas and inspirational challenges. For less than 10 dollars for an hour session, you are literally getting personal training in a community setting, now that is a winning combo!
3. Personal Attention: As previously mentioned, your trainers will take the time to assess your current state and adapt each workout to help you achieve your personal best. Whether you have a previous injury to think about or if you need an extra challenge, Ryan and Danielle will meet these and any other needs. South County Boot Camp gives you the personal attention you need to be held accountable and to be successful. All levels are welcome as the personalized attention is intended for everyone to meet and exceed their own personal goals. You will be amazed at what you can achieve with the right type of support and individualized attention. Now is the time to give yourself and your workout the attention that it deserves.
4. Positivity: Let’s face it, who doesn’t love a complement? It is great to know you are doing well when you are working
hard and making steps forward. Sometimes the steps are so small at first that we give up if we don’t have the encouragement we need. At SC Boot Camp you will be working in a group of hard working, goal driven, like minded individuals. Each one will become part of the support system that leads you to your success. In turn, you are part of their support system as well. The term “Boot Camp” can be a bit daunting as many picture a militaristic type approach to your workout. This could not be farther from the truth. The workout is challenging like boot camps are but the approach is with positive reinforcement from your trainers and your peers. Don’t let the words “boot camp” scare you off. This is a positive environment that fosters success through giving positive feedback. You will always leave feeling better than when you came in that morning. It is impossible not to feel like you have achieved great things.
5. Effective: There is a bottom line to everything and when it comes to your workout, the bottom line usually is…does it work? This is a resounding YES from campers who return month to month for more. Below is what a new camper had to say about her experience thus far:

New and returning campers are finding the same thing…results. Yes, bodies are changing and along with it, a renewed sense of self. Each camp will leave you feeling better about yourself and incredibly proud of what you have achieved. Here are some results you can anticipate:
» 5-12 pounds of weight loss
» 1-3″ decrease in the midsection
» 25% increase in strength
» 25% improvement in endurance
» Better relaxation
» Greatly improved posture
» 100% gain in self-confidence
And much more…

These 5 reasons are definitely reasons to join South County Boot Camp. I joined in March of 2014 with the intention of going for a 4 week camp to “jump start” my working out. I remember one of the women telling me the second day that I was going to become addicted. I also remember thinking “that’s not going to happen”. Well, by the second week I was! All the reasons above are why. In almost a year now, every workout has been different. Not only different, but fun! I’m always amazed when the next class starts rolling in. The hour goes by so fast! The cost? Well it is worth every penny! You are getting daily emails of encouragement, recipes and pats on the back. You get constant encouragement and help during boot camp. You are also pushed so that you are working to your best ability. We all get individual attention even though there are a bunch of us in each camp. And the positivity is amazing. Both from Ryan and Danielle and from the other women. I have met so many wonderful women since joining boot camp. The camaraderie and support and the fun we all have is amazing! And as for results, I’ve run 3 5k races since joining boot camp. Two of those were obstacle course races. I am 61 and although I have always exercised, I have never run a race before. I can do push-ups and burpees, could never do those before. I see myself getting stronger all the time. Boot camp has been a life changing experience for me!
It is my 15th month in camp, which is the longest I have ever stuck with any kind of exercise routine. And I never thought I could do what was required so I decided (to calm my nerves) that I would try it for a month and then move on. When I started, I expected to be one of the campers in the back silently attempting to conquer the exercises — but that isn’t allowed with any camper. Ryan and the other campers work with you and cheer you on. There is no competition, only routines that we work to the best of our abilities. Every single class is always a new adventure.
At times we work individually and at other times, in teams. It’s always challenging and it’s always fun. I love camp!!
